Wie lange hockt ihr mir denn noch auf der Pelle?
Was? Noch mindestens zwei Wochen?

How long will you be bothering me?

Wie lange soll denn das kalte weiße Zeug noch auf dem Balkon liegen; ich will wieder raus und an den Blumen schnuppern.

How long should the cold white stuff lie on the balcony? I want to get out again and sniff the flowers.

Seht ihr alle den Napf da hinten? Was stimmt mit dem wohl nicht? – Richtig! Er ist leer. Zumindest nicht randvoll …

Do you all see that bowl over there? What’s wrong with that? – Right! It’s empty. At least it’s not full to the brim …

Ich lebe hier mit meinen Ohnefelleltern in einer Wohnung, die zwei Etagen umfasst und die Aufteilung ist klar: Meine Ohnefelleltern wohnen und schlafen in der unteren Etage während ich in der oberen Etage wohne. Schlafen darf ich überall! Die Mahlzeiten werden umgekehrt eingenommen: Ich esse unten, die Ohnefelleltern oben. Eigentlich! Nun hat meine Ohnefellmami die Frechheit, die gewaschene Wäsche in meinem Wohnbereich aufzuhängen und wenn sie Handarbeiten macht, tut sie das auch oben.
Ohne mich zu entschädigen! Wie kann das sein?

I live with my parents in an apartment that spans two floors and the division is clear: my parents live and sleep on the lower floor while I live on the upper floor. I can sleep anywhere! Meals are eaten the other way around: I eat downstairs, the parents without fur upstairs. Actually! Now my mommy without fur has the nerve to hang up the washed laundry in my living area and when she does needlework, she does it upstairs too.
Without compensating me! How can that be?

Dass ich mich einzig und allein von Dreamies ernähren könnte, ist kein Geheimnis. Dennoch sind meine Ohnefelleltern immer recht sparsam, wenn sie mir davon etwas geben und jetzt weiß ich auch warum: Auf der Packung steht zu lesen, dass es sich um ein ERGÄNZUNGSFUTTERMITTEL handelt, und dass ich täglich nur 20 Stück davon bekommen soll.
GEHT’S NOCH?

It’s no secret that I could feed myself only on Dreamies. Nevertheless, my parents without fur are very frugal when they give me some of it and now I know why: It says on the package that it is a SUPPLEMENTARY FEED and that I should only get 20 of it a day.

Huch, was leuchtet denn da so? – Ach das ist mein Heiligenschein! Ich hatte schon vergessen, dass ich den habe.

Oops, what’s glowing there? – Oh that’s my gloriole! I had already forgotten that I had it.

Mein Ohnefellpapi ist schon ganz schön aufgeregt, denn in einer Woche erscheint der fünfte Teil der Zombiecalypse-Reihe, die er als Andreas Kohn – Autor schreibt. Ich habe in das Vorabexemplar hinein geschnuppert und muss sagen: ganz schön blutig.

My dad witout fur is really excited because in a week the fifth part of the Zombiecalypse series, which he is writing as Andreas Kohn – author. I sniffed the preliminary copy and have to say: pretty bloody.

Vielleicht sollte ich mich um einen Job bei der Verkehrsüberwachung bewerben. Ohnefellmami sagt, ich müsste dann aber auch bei Regen arbeiten … – Also lieber doch nicht!

Maybe I should apply for a job in traffic monitoring. Mommy without fur says, I would then have to work in the rain … – So better not!
